Shell International Selects KDS For Booking

London-based Shell International Ltd. yesterday said it had selected Paris-based KDS to provide its corporate self-booking application and supporting systems. Shell already has begun implementing KDS in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, where more than 10,000 of its travelers are based. The company hopes to process 25 percent of reservations online within a year. Shell uses Carlson Wagonlit Travel, with which KDS has a major marketing and technology arrangement. "Shell is convinced that KDS will help us better control and manage corporate travel processes," said Albert Kilsdonk, Shell's business travel manager.
