The first 50 meeting planners who book and hold meetings in Detroit or surrounding Michigan areas in Wayne, Oakland or Macomb counties between now and Dec. 1 will receive a free pair of airline tickets on Northwest Airlines.

The tickets are compliments of the Metropolitan Detroit Convention & Visitors Bureau, which is sponsoring the promotion as a way to boost group business.

A signed contract for a minimum of 75 hotel room nights is required. Planners booking more than 200 room nights will receive four complimentary tickets. Tickets are good for locations in Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico and the continental United States, subject to a number of restrictions and blackout dates.
