After a month of operations between New York JFK and London Stansted airports, all-business class MaxJet Airways today announced plans to launch in early 2006 new service from Washington Dulles International Airport to London. The airline also said it would boost frequency on the exiting New York-London route and introduce a customer loyalty program.
Meanwhile, Eos, the other recently launched all-premium transatlantic carrier
(BTN, Oct. 31), last week announced it was expanding its distribution to include Galileo International-connected travel agencies. Eos previously had not participated in any global distribution systems, relying on direct telephone and Web site sales.
MaxJet has listed in major GDS channels since launching earlier this year. In February, it will increase weekly New York JFK-London Stansted flights from six to seven by adding a Saturday flight. Using newly acquired aircraft, the company also is planning for late February five weekly flights from Dulles to Stansted.
Meanwhile, a customer loyalty program is in the works for early 2006. MaxJet said the "simple, customer-friendly" program would not have any blackout dates or Saturday night stay requirements, and would allow businesses to include up to five names on each account. MaxJet said the loyalty program and the new flights are "in response to consistently high load factors and customer demand."
