Centennial, Colo.-based Direct Travel—including Vision Travel, a Direct Travel company in Canada—has given flight disruption-compensation reclaim firm Service access to bookings for clients that opt in. For business travelers flying on behalf of Direct Travel and Vision Travel clients and booking through preferred booking channels, Service can track the bookings for flight delays or cancellations. When an impacted flight is detected, Service reaches out to the traveler with an offer to file a claim with the airline to get cash, voucher or mileage compensation for the traveler. The traveler can accept Service's offer and pay Service a fee, or the traveler can forgo the offer and submit a claim directly with the airline. Direct Travel does not charge a fee.
