The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints began to automate its missionary booking process in 2025 and has continued to expand automated booking in 2026. Automated bookings are managed through Amadeus' Context Search technology.
The Church utilizes Microsoft Dynamics 365 to organize and streamline the visa process for missionaries serving globally. At the end of 2025, the age for sister missionaries to serve was lowered from 19 to 18. This change has contributed to increased missionary growth.
The Church grew its travel team in 2025. It has a single travel policy worldwide but selects online booking tools on a country-by-country basis. Amadeus Cytric is used in the United States, which accounts for two-thirds of travel spend worldwide. U.S.-booked air volume rose slightly from $70 million in 2024 to $71.9 million in 2025, and is expected to rise by a similar margin to $74 million in 2026.
Worldwide, the Church has 17.5 million members across more than 160 countries.
