Cruise travel giant Royal Caribbean sails on to the Corporate Travel 100 for the first time with BTN-estimated 2025 U.S.-booked air volume of $49 million.
Royal Caribbean nevertheless is a unique entry on this list, as much of its air volume is dedicated to transporting shipboard employees. The company at the end of 2025 had 96,500 shipboard employees (up about 1 percent year over year) and another 11,400 full-time (up about 6 percent) and 50 part-time employees on land.
Royal Caribbean operates a dedicated global crew travel and logistics department that oversees air, accommodations, ground transportation and expense management.
The company in 2025 generated about 4.7 million metric tons of indirect Scope 3 carbon dioxide equivalent emissions, down about 6 percent year over year. About 19 percent of 2025 Scope 3 emissions were generated by business travel.
Royal Caribbean carried about 9.4 million passengers worldwide in 2025, up more than 10 percent year over year. Total revenue increased 9 percent to $17.9 billion.
