Novartis has committed more than $30 billion in mergers and acquisitions since 2023, but investors want to step up scrutiny of the Swiss company's dealmaking strategy after some setbacks to drugs it acquired through M&A activity negatively affected the company's shares.
Recent acquisitions include Myricx Bio, Excellergy, Pikavation Therapeutics, Avidity Biosciences, Tourmaline Bio, Regulus Therapeutics and Anthos Therapeutics.
The company's 2025 Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions attributed to business travel were 163,800 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent, up from 128,400 reported in 2024.
Novartis' 2025 net sales from continuing operations were $54.4 billion, up 8 percent year over year. As of Dec. 31, 2025, the company had about 75,300 full-time employees, down slightly from the 75,900 reported in 2024.
