Multinational pharmaceutical company Merck & Co. spent $64 million in U.S- booked air volume in 2025, according to a BTN estimate. The company reported $65 billion in total sales in 2025, with the expectation of reaching $67 billion by the end of 2026.
The company made efforts to reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions, which includes business travel. It reported in 2025 a 10 percent reduction from its 2019 baseline. Merck aims to reduce its Scope 3 GHG emissions by 30 percent from its 2019 baseline by 2030.
Merck added to its portfolio in 2026, acquiring Verona Pharma at the end of 2025, as well as Cidara Therapeutics in early 2026. Merch acquired both companies for a total of $19 billion.
