Sustainability and travel experience are key focuses for professional services organization EY, which in 2025 increased its U.S.-booked air volume 12 percent year over year to $192.8 million.
Last year EY enhanced its accessibility desk and its travel approval tools. It updated dashboards to support its carbon-reduction goals and implemented a third-party supplier to support advanced forecasting and analytics in carbon-reporting needs.
EY continues to work on implementing agentic AI to manage workflows that streamline processes across the travel and meetings ecosystem and further enhance the user experience. EY already uses AI in the form of virtual agents as well as for reporting and analytics, sourcing, managing travel disruption and tracking sustainability.
EY piloted a third-party tool to manage guest travel in 2025 and is working to fully onboard and expand use of that tool in the U.S. and elsewhere, using distributed virtual cards for payment.
American Express Global Business Travel manages all EY's U.S.-booked travel and the majority of its bookings globally. BCD Travel also handles much of the company's meetings and events spending management as well as transient travel spend in Latin America and South Africa.
EY manages policy through a recommended set of global travel guidelines supplemented with policies set at the geographic level, though no EY member firm country is allowed to be more lenient than the global travel guidelines.
