2025 U.S.-Booked Air Volume: $65M
Consolidated Global TMC: BCD
BTN estimates that U.S-originating air spend in 2025 at construction and mining equipment manufacturer Caterpillar was stable year over year at $65 million, though its employee count rose from 113,000 to 118,000. The company has 140 primary locations worldwide.
Revenue during Caterpillar’s centennial year rose 4 percent year over year to $67.6 billion. However, operating profit fell 15 percent to $11.2 billion owing to a $1.7 billion hit that the company attributed to higher tariffs. Caterpillar forecasts mid-to-high teens growth in revenues for 2026 but operating profits will again be dented an estimated $2.2 billion by tariffs. That figures excludes any recoveries for tariffs imposed by President Trump under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act which were ruled invalid by the Supreme Court in February 2026.
