2025 U.S.-Booked Air Volume: $53M
Global management consulting firm Bain & Co. had approximately $53 million in 2025 U.S.-booked air spend, according to a BTN estimate. It is the private company's first appearance in the BTN Corporate Travel 100 listings.
Bain's business travel in 2025 generated about 124,800 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions, about 103,600 of which were generated by air travel. Bain purchased sustainable aviation fuel certificates representing more than 9,800 metric tons of emissions reductions. After applying the SAF certificates, Bain's business travel totaled about 115,000 metric tons, down 8 percent year over year.
Bain uses carbon budgets to manage air travel emissions from non-client travel, and was below its annual target in 2025.The company also selects locations for global training programs that are optimized to minimize flight miles, tracks air and hotel emissions through an employee dashboard and partnered with ridesharing platforms in North America and Europe to offer employees an incentive for choosing electric vehicles.
In February 2026, Bain acquired London-based JJC FinTech for an undisclosed amount to help financial clients "improve and accelerate their Know Your Customer and anti-money laundering processes and deliver better customer experience."
The firm operates offices in 67 cities across 40 countries.
