2025 U.S.-Booked Air Volume: $50M
Applied Materials, a manufacturer of specialized tools and process technologies used to create semiconductor chips, makes its first appearance on BTN's Corporate Travel 100 for 2025. It spent $50 million on U.S.-booked air tickets last year, according to a BTN estimate.
The company has 36,500 full-time employees as of Oct. 26, 2025—the end of its 2025 fiscal year—a 7 percent increase from one year prior. Approximately 42 percent of its workforce is located in North America.
Applied Materials' business travel has also grown in recent years, with 104,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent for business travel reported during its 2025 fiscal year, down from about 135,000 metric tons one year prior.
The company reported net revenue of $28.4 billion during fiscal year 2025, a 4 percent increase year over year.
