Aerospace
and defense contractor RTX reached
$187 million in U.S.-booked air volume in 2024, up from $179 million in 2023.
The company delivered well on its savings targets through increased efficiency
initiatives while managing substantial organizational changes. RTX manages a
broad travel program across its three core businesses: Collins Aerospace, Pratt
& Whitney and Raytheon.
It completed a major business unit consolidation in 2024, merging two business
units into a single operation to streamline its travel program management.
The
company generated $80.7 billion in net sales in 2024 and employed about 186,000
people across 52 countries. Its global travel program uses SAP Concur and Amex
GBT, providing
centralized booking, policy control
and visibility, and operates through
customized travel policies by business unit rather than a single global policy.
RTX
completed a global corporate card rollout in 2024, transitioning from BTA cards
to individual credit cards. RTX also launched air and hotel reshopping capabilities in key international
markets to optimize travel costs.
Plans this year center on supplier relationship optimization, including
comprehensive RFPs for airline and hotel programs and an RFI for car rental
services. RTX also plans to roll out Concur T2, a significant technology
upgrade to enhance its booking and expense management experience.
