According to a BTN estimate, banking and financial giant JPMorgan
Chase & Co. Decreased its U.S.-booked air volume in 2018 by 4 percent. Net
revenue increased 8 percent to more than $109 billion. Noninterest,
noncompensation expense increased almost 7 percent to nearly $30.3 billion. The
company had about 129,500 employees at the end of 2018, down from 133,700 in
2017. JPMorgan Chase’s 2018 business travel generated nearly 176,400 metric
tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions, down from about 187,000 in 2017.
The company purchases verified carbon units certified under the Verified Carbon
Standard to offset all those emissions, as well as those from its corporate
jets.
