Meetings management technology company StarCite today announced that it has hired Kevin Iwamoto as its vice president of enterprise strategy.
Iwamoto, who started in the job this week, recently left his previous post as a longtime member of the Hewlett-Packard travel team. While at HP, where he worked for 10 years, he served as president of the National Business Travel Association and was named the
2002 Business Travel News Travel Manager of the Year.
Iwamoto said his new role has a range of responsibilities, including helping travel managers and others, whether new or existing customers, develop strategic meetings management programs or take such programs to the next level, managing the company's customer advisory board and advising on sales, supplier relations and new product development.
Iwamoto said his goal was "to bring StarCite to the place where it is recognized for for providing expert benchmarking and best practices for strategic meetings management."
In his new role, he'll report to Joe Trino, StarCite's new senior vice president of corporate development, who in turn reports to Greg Dukat, who was named CEO in July
(BTNonline, July 16).
