GetThere Bundles Booking, Meetings Management, Networking Tools For Small Cos.

GetThere today will begin selling to North American-based small and midsize companies a new suite that bundles functionality from its booking tool, its Worktopia-powered meetings management module and its Cubeless social networking platform.

GetThere is targeting companies with 500 to 5,000 employees and less than $5 million in annual travel spend, likely comprising a combination of unmanaged, lightly managed and more mature midsize travel programs looking for more functionality, said GetThere president and Sabre Travel Network senior vice president Chris Kroeger.

GetThere is pricing the suite on a per-month, per-user basis, which "varies greatly on the size of the company," said GetThere chief marketing officer and Sabre vice president of corporate segment strategy and solutions Suzanne Neufang

In addition to the three core elements of the offering, Sabre also plans to bundle other offerings at additional per-user, per-month costs. Those include IBM's Global Expense Reporting Solutions tool and the option of further control management capabilities, which would allow for additional functionality not included in the core suite, such as dynamic messaging, pre-trip approval and unused ticket messaging. GetThere also is offering optional consulting services at an additional expense.

Kroeger said GetThere is bulking up its sales force to call on small and midsize companies, though he didn't disclose the number of added employees, and said GetThere would rely on its travel management company partners to add the offering to their reseller portfolio.

Though the new suite has yet to garner clients, Kroeger said the technology is live and GetThere is "anticipating some early interest" from CFOs, CIOs and travel buyers.
