Southwest previously allowed customers--
including corporate customers--to transfer unused funds but now will include "nontransferable" on ticket receipts. According to a spokesperson, the newly stated policy has "been in the Contract of Carriage for years, but it became common practice to make exceptions. Following our own Contract of Carriage puts us in line with a general practice in the airline industry, which is important when building programs like international codeshare, which need some level of consistency for the customer."
