Qantas and Ryanair both are planning to deploy inflight passenger communications technology

. Qantas said it would first evaluate email and messaging options via laptop computers, cell phones and other mobile devices on domestic Australian routes in early 2007. Ryanair said it plans to fit its "entire" fleet with a system enabling inflight phone calls, email and text messaging, starting in mid-2007.
