British Airways lowered the fuel surcharge

on passenger tickets for many routes, "as a result of a fall in the price of oil." The change--to £ 30 (US$59) from £ 35 (US$69) per sector--specifically affects tickets sold in the United Kingdom for "long-haul flights scheduled at under nine hours." The surcharge remains unchanged on tickets for all other flights.
