Avis Budget Group reported a $7 million net profit for the first three months of the year
, compared with a $38 million loss for the same period in 2010. Total rental days increased 7 percent year over year, though pricing was down 1 percent for the quarter. Overall revenues grew 7 percent to $1.2 billion, with domestic rental car revenue up 6 percent year over year to $929 million and international rental car revenue up 15 percent to $231 million. Avis Budget continues to await antitrust clearance from the Federal Trade Commission to pursue its acquisition of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group.
