American, Delta, Continental, Northwest and US Airways matched a $10 roundtrip airfare hike initiated last week by United Airlines
, according to FareCompare's Rick Seaney. "The increase was broad based, affecting both leisure and business travelers," Seaney reported. "As usual with the past increases this year, legacy airlines have stepped lightly on competitive, 'lower cost' airline citypairs."
