Veteran industry consultant John Caldwell joined American Express Global Business Travel's Advisory Services as a senior consultant.

"I have decided to close my practice and change direction," according to Caldwell, as part of an Amex statement, referring to Caldwell Associates, which he founded in 1988. An attorney, Caldwell previously represented the National Passenger Travel Association (now the Global Business Travel Association) "in the administrative case that deregulated the airline industry," according to Amex. "Later, Mr. Caldwell went on to pioneer the practice of establishing service-level agreements in the industry."
