Travelport GDS named Mark Ryan its new chief information officer
, assigning the former Matria Healthcare, eBay, weather.com, Vodafone and IBM executive "global responsibility for formulating and executing the company's technology strategy, including software solutions and applications development." Ryan is based in Atlanta and reports to Travelport GDS president and chief executive officer Gordon Wilson. "I'm looking forward to applying my knowledge and experience as we accelerate development of ... technologies such as e-Pricing, Universal Desktop and our collaborative 'journey manager' project with Microsoft," according to Ryan. Keith Woodcock, who was named interim CIO when Travelport in April appointed Sue Powers CEO of its Travelport IT Services & Software division, remains senior vice president for new business development.
