Travel management organization GlobalStar signed partnership agreements with companies in Mauritania, Uganda and Zambia.

In Uganda, GlobalStar will be represented by Simba Travelcare, a Galileo GDS-connected agency with three office locations in the country. Mukwa Travel now represents GlobalStar in Zambia, and also is connected to Galileo. In Mauritania, the new partner is MTS Travel, connected to the Amadeus GDS. GlobalStar now maintains partnerships in nine African countries. According to executive director of partner recruitment Mark van Iersel, GlobalStar has "seen a substantial increase in consolidation demands from our customers in the energy sector for professional business travel agents in Africa."
