The most critical issue for Asian travel agents is securing "access to an assured supply of quality travel content,
such as airfares, hotel rooms and rental cars," according to a survey by global distribution system operator Abacus International. Based on responses from 1,629 travel agents in 13 countries, the second-most cited issue was increased pressure on profit margins, followed by matching technology to business requirements. Forty-four percent of those facing pressure on profit margins "are more disposed to consider additional offerings to corporate customers."
