The U.S. House of Representatives approved an extension through March 31, 2010 for Federal Aviation Administration funding.

The House in June passed the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2009, but the U.S. Senate failed to approve legislation. Funding for FAA has been extended several times since the previous authorization expired on Sept. 30, 2007. The Senate also is expected to discuss FAA funding before year end, when the current extension is scheduled to expire.
