The Internal Revenue Service on 1 January adjusted the excise tax on international flight segments to and from the United States for inflation
, raising it to $16.30 from $16.10. IRS maintained the $3.70 tax on domestic segments, while raising by 10 cents to $8.20 the international air facilities tax for flights that originate or end in Alaska or Hawaii.
