Qantas on Monday announced that inspections of its Airbus A380s would keep the six-plane fleet grounded "for at least another 72 hours."
The Australian carrier suspended A380 operations last week after one of the giant aircraft experienced engine problems. Qantas indicated that it is using the rest of its aircraft to minimize disruptions in international services. Specifically on the Sydney-Los Angeles route, the airline is accommodating passengers with both scheduled and special charter flights.
