Orbitz Worldwide posted a first quarter net loss of $336
million including a one-time $332 million non-cash charge, versus a $1 million net loss a year earlier. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization improved by 39 percent to $28 million. Gross air booking dollar volume declined 20 percent year over year while non-air booking volume dropped 10 percent. International gross booking volume fell further (down 36 percent) than domestic gross booking volume (down 13 percent).
