Midwest Air Group shareholders approved an acquisition by an affiliate of TPG Capital
. Subject to regulatory approval and expected to close in December, the transaction includes financing from Midwest codeshare partner Northwest Airlines. TPG has said an "expanded alliance" with Northwest would "lead to a bigger and better Midwest."
