Including American Express, BCD Travel, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Egencia, HRG and Omega World Travel, mega agencies last month had an aggregate transaction increase—including refunds and exchanges—well ahead of the 1.4 percent growth reported for all agencies, according to ARC. Excluding refunds and exchanges, the mega agency group processed 8.8 percent more transactions in October versus a year earlier, which contradicts other recent industry indicators regarding slowing or declining corporate travel demand.
