MasterCard Europe said enhanced data transfers with European travel agencies is the aim of an alliance it forged with Dataflexnet
. A European data consolidator, Dataflexnet is to work "individually with travel services and back-office system providers to fully integrate travel invoice data with MasterCard's global payments platform." MasterCard said the alliance is designed to help its issuing banks reach medium to large European corporations, which it said spend more than €31 billion on travel. Dataflexnet CEO Reza Satongar said his company also would "support MasterCard's ambition to expand their lodged account footprint across Europe."
