Expedia intends to be "active" in mergers and acquisitions for multiple areas of its business, including the Egencia corporate travel unit

, CFO Michael Adler said. The company would be interested in "smaller" or "tuck-in" deals, "perhaps even to add leverage and scale to our now pretty fast-growing corporate travel business," said Adler during a ThinkEquity conference. "We think that business is far enough along that they could actually absorb some acquisitions."
