Chief executives of All Nippon Airways, British Airways, Carlson, Hertz and Travelport endorsed a set of climate policy recommendations to be presented to world leaders
. The World Economic Forum and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development coordinated the effort, which was signed by more than 80 CEOs from large global companies and sent to leaders of Group of 8 countries, scheduled to meet next month in Japan. The recommendations said that a new framework to address climate change "must" be market-oriented; include "all major economies ... including the United States, China and India;" and establish "an unambiguous international goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by a significant percentage by 2050."
