American Express enhanced a pre-trip tool to include traveler messaging capabilities
. The Pre-Trip Auditor sends to travelers "visa/passport information for international travel, company incentives or programs, industry advisories on high-risk destinations, recommendations for virtual meeting options and how to utilize enterprise mobile applications," according to a company statement. The new messaging augments "standard out-of-policy messages" sent to travelers when they book noncompliant reservations. Amex indicated that "the majority" of its global accounts have deployed the tool, which also can be configured to send pre-trip itineraries to managers for approval.
