Amadeus on Tuesday indicated it is ready to roll out IATA-compliant electronic miscellaneous documents to travel agencies

, expecting to use the messaging standard with Finland-based subscribers in the first quarter of 2011, followed by agencies in 20 other markets by the end of next year. According to Amadeus, the EMD, which the GDS operator already is issuing in conjunction with Finnair, would enable carriers and agencies to "share information relating to issuance, management, distribution and fulfillment of airline services." Amadeus also reported that its EMD efforts enable the collection of payment.
