Amadeus increased revenue from its distribution business by 7 percent during the June quarter, with total bookings up 8.2 percent

. Profits rose 21 percent excluding extraordinary items, while total revenue rose 10.4 percent to €674 million (US$822 million), including distribution revenue of €499 million (US$609 million). Net profit fell 5.1 percent to €89.5 million (US$109 million). Total bookings reached 112.6 million despite a 2.1 percent drop in non-air bookings. "Low-cost carrier bookings in the second quarter of 2010 from agencies using Amadeus increased by 35.5 percent compared with the same quarter in 2009," the company stated.
