Alaska Air Group swung to a fourth-quarter and full-year profit in 2009 after posting losses in 2008.
"This marks our sixth consecutive year of profits on an adjusted basis," according to CEO Bill Ayer. The fourth-quarter net profit of $24 million marked a nearly $100 million improvement from a year earlier.
