Concur on
Tuesday announced that it will offer clients real-time flight status updates
through Cliqbook and Concur mobile as part of an extension to its agreement
with OAG.
Fred Fredericks, Concur's vice president of research and development, said
Concur for several years has had a partnership with OAG to take advantage of
its flight schedule data. Under the terms of the extended agreement, travelers
who book through Concur's services now gain immediate access to flight status
updates, including delay and cancellation information, terminal and gate
locations and baggage claim information. They also can use Concur mobile tools
to search for alternative flights in case of delay or cancellation.
"Travelers on the go turn to their mobile phones to stay informed,"
according to Concur president and COO Rajeev Singh. "With OAG's Flight
Status information at their fingertips, they can easily track flights, stay up
to date and make real-time changes to their itineraries."
Travel arrangers also can use the data to monitor multiple flights and change
them if necessary, Fredericks said.
