"a newly created role to help develop Travelport's corporate and commercial offering," the company announced. Previously in travel management roles at Hewlett-Packard and Johnson & Johnson, Chevalier most recently helmed her own consulting firm. Travelport's creation of the new role follows recent investments in solutions geared toward corporations, including the acquisition of
Hotelzon and the purchase of a 49 percent stake in
Locomote. "Travelport will continue to develop its offering in the business travel space and, as well as strengthening its partnerships with TMCs, it will look at new opportunities to invest in products that distribute travel technology solutions to corporations," according to Travelport.
