Sabre Holdings said bookings in the first quarter were "holding stable" at roughly 15 percent down year over year
. The Sabre global distribution system processed 383 million bookings last year--down 3 percent from 2007--and 76 million in the fourth quarter, down 15 percent year over year. Sabre Holdings posted a net loss of $319 million in the December quarter, attributed to a $382 million impairment charge because of a required write off of goodwill and intangible assets from acquisitions that also resulted in a $320 million loss for full-year 2008. Revenues fell 10 percent in the fourth quarter to $603 million and were about flat for the full year at $2.9 billion.
