Icarus projectand reflects "serious commitment by companies to develop sustainable business practices." ITM cited Flybe's "young turbo-prop aircraft" that lower carbon emissions and an "eco-labeling concept, which has been applied to it's flights, that uses the easily understood customer labeling notation common to fridges, washing machines, and even houses for sale." While Flybe won the airline category, British Airways also was recognized for its "comprehensive structure for managing their carbon emissions along with noise and local air quality." ITM also cited ground transportation company Carey's "driver awareness pilot program that aims to reduce fuel consumption by 10 percent by its drivers adopting more fuel-efficient driving behaviors." Meanwhile, CWT won the agency category for developing products and business models "that can help their clients in better managing their C02 emissions."
