BCD Travel Consulting told clients to expect corporate travel prices to "climb steadily upward"
during the next two years. For 2007, the travel management company expects corporate airfares to increase 7 percent to 11 percent. "After pulling back on corporate discount programs in the last two years, airlines have started to selectively improve corporate discounting terms as a reaction to increasing published airfare levels," according to BCD's 2007 forecast. BCD also predicted 2007 increases of 6 percent for transient hotel rates (trending as high as 14 percent in certain markets), 3 percent to 5 percent for group hotel rates and 5 percent to 7 percent for car rental rates.
