In a few weeks, users of U.K.-based Gett's
ride-hailing app will be able to book Carey International black car services through
the app and Gett's One Transport platform, according to a Carey spokesperson. Carey
International operates in more than 1,000 cities worldwide. The spokesperson
said the partnership is significant because chauffeured companies and
ride-hailing platforms have had a contentious relationship. Carey was in talks
with Lyft
last year, but the spokesperson said the talks fizzled. Gett and Carey also are
considering a single platform on which clients of either company can book either
service, a move meant to benefit managed travel programs.
