Delta is adding a chat feature to its Delta Professional
portal, through which agents can connect with the carrier's sales support team.
Select accounts already are using the feature, and it will roll out to all
other North America agency accounts over the next year, according to a Delta
spokesperson. The feature is one of several offerings Delta is adding to its
tools for agents, corporate travel managers and meeting managers over the next
few months.
The carrier also will enable corporate customers to access meetings
fares within a day of the corporate registering the meeting with the platform, rather
than the previous 10 days. Delta also is adding to Delta Edge Meetings
real-time data on top destinations, data for specific regions and time periods,
and back-end payment details.
In November, Delta will introduce a self-service
application, Securities Hub, for agents and corporate travel managers to update
information like ARC numbers and global distribution account codes via the
online application rather than an Excel document.
Additionally, in mid-November, Delta will revamp its Sky
Partner reports for travel buyers. They now will include global savings data
that factors in Delta's airline partners, as well as country-level data points
on its "beyond contract value" reporting, including on-time
performance and upgrade success. The reports also will enable travel managers
to customize their "beyond contract" preferences.
