Wyndham Worldwide Corporation announced third-quarter net income of $117 million
, up 27 percent from a year earlier. Revenues for the company's lodging unit--encompassing such brands as Wyndham, Ramada, Days Inn, Super 8 and Howard Johnson--increased 12 percent to $211 million, partly due to "strong revenue per available room gains both domestically and internationally." The company's third-quarter systemwide average daily rate was $70.77, up from $67.50 a year earlier. ADR for the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts chain rose $4 to $110.47.
