Meetings management firm BCD M&I, a sister company to BCD Travel, acquired Universal Meeting Management,

a meetings management company based in Raleigh, N.C., BCD announced Wednesday. UMM has "expertise in servicing the health care provider sector and a growing customer base in the high-tech market," according to a BCD statement, and has developed "a proprietary technology platform which tracks, measures and reports meeting analytics to promote both financial transparency, audit readiness and compliance." That tool, according to BCD, "has been primarily utilized in the U.S. market" but now "will immediately be integrated into all of BCD M&I's regional operations." Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
