Lyft has launched Lyft Events to help event
planners manage group transportation needs. It allows planners to prepay ride
credits for event guests and set up parameters around booking, including time
limits and geofencing to ensure pickups and/or drop-offs occur only in areas
specific to the meeting. Lyft refunds unused credits to planners after the
events. Uber launched a similar
tool last year.
