Event management software provider Aventri is rolling out an iPad-based check-in app for small and midsize events, the company announced.
Dubbed Aventri Aloha, the app is designed to connect to badge printers via Bluetooth, AirPrint and Wi-Fi. Once a connection is established, planners also can check in an attendee with one tap and print out a badge in "seconds," according to Aventri. Alternatively, a password-protected kiosk mode enables attendees to check themselves in by inputting personal information or scanning a QR code.
Aloha supports offline check-in and printing after the initial network setup and sync are complete, enabling check-in and badging to continue even during Wi-Fi interruptions, according to Aventri. Meanwhile, an instant reporting function provides check-in counts and attendee stats in real-time.
Developed specifically for the iPad, Aventri Aloha currently is in beta with select customers and will be available to the market in the next few months, the company said.
