Noble House Hotels & Resorts disclosed on
Tuesday that malware may have been installed on payment processing systems at
11 of its properties. This is the second such disclosure from the property
management company, based in Kirkland, Wash., in less than a year. In November,
the company reported six of its hotels had been compromised between December
2014 and August 2015. The time span for the most recent attacks varied by
property but began as early as April 25 and ended as late as August 5. Noble
House said customer payment information—including card number, expiration date,
CVV number and cardholder name—may have been compromised. Some of the affected hotels
include: The Edgewater in Seattle; Hotel Deca in Seattle; The Portofino Hotel
& Marina in Redondo Beach, Calif.; and the Kona Kai Resort & Spa in San
Diego. Hotel owner and operator HEI
Hotels & Resorts last month similarly reported malware had been found
on POS systems at 20 of its properties.
